About this Event

Spend a day with Stephen and Vicky Breitkreuz at their family cattle and grain operation near Springside. With a 250-head cow herd and roughly 3,500 acres of grain, pasture, and forage, the Breitkreuz family has tested a wide range of intercropping combinations, uses cover crops for swath grazing, and runs higher stock density grazing on summer pastures.
The afternoon field tour will be extensive, with information on intercropping for fall grazing, cover cropping optimization, bale grazing recovery and tame pasture grazing strategies. The day includes a hot lunch at the Springside Town Hall and will continue in your personal vehicles to the farm for the afternoon.
