ABOUT SASKSOIL

SaskSoil is a non-profit, producer-based organization with a mission to advance agricultural systems that improve the land and environment for future generations.

OUR MISSION

Advancing agricultural systems that improve the land and environment for future generations.

OUR HISTORY

The Saskatchewan Soil Conservation Association (SaskSoil) is a producer-driven, non-profit organization working at the intersection of agriculture and environmental stewardship. Founded in 1987 by forward-thinking farmers who recognized the urgent need for soil conservation, we've evolved alongside the industry—shifting in 2022 to a broader mission: soil health for the long haul.

Our work is rooted in science, shaped by the land, and grounded in the idea that farming today should set the stage for tomorrow. Through knowledge sharing, practical on-farm demonstrations, and advocacy for beneficial management practices (BMPs), we’re here to help growers make choices that optimize production, protect soil resilience, and support a healthier environment.

We are a registered charity in Canada and offer annual memberships to agriculture producers and businesses, urban farmers, students and soil health enthusiasts. Join us in our mission to promote sustainable farming practices and ensure a healthy environment for all.

OUR PARTNERS

SaskSoil collaborates with a wide range of partners to advance our mission. Together, we work towards promoting the soil health principles, beneficial management practices and sustainable agriculture. We are grateful for the support of our partners in our efforts to improve the land and environment for future generations.
